Cheeburger Cheeburger is an Auburn tradition and even as it now seems like you can find this restaurant in many other areas it’s tradition here is still strong.
On a random Tuesday I stopped by the local Cheeburger with a group of friends for lunch. After placing my order, a serious with chedder, A1, lettuce and onions as well as a basket of onion rings and fries, I enjoyed a conversation about the housing market and the upcoming holiday. It was only a short while until the food arrived and after a blessing was said we all dug in. One thing is for sure, no matter what you order it will come in great quantity. The Burger was cooked perfectly, medium well, and the fries and onion rings were just right.
Another thing Cheeburger Cheeburger has going for it is great atmosphere. Even though it is a bit disappointing that after their last major remodel they moved the Polaroids covering the walls onto hooks it still has the same old charm. I didn’t get a shake this time but from experience as well as one of the other guys that got one this time I can assure you they are top notch. They are also among the thickest milkshakes I believe I have ever had.
This uneventful Tuesday lunch went well and everyone had hot tasty food and great service. I imagine a review on a gameday would be a bit different but that’s true for everywhere in Auburn. Although it is a bit more expensive than a fast food burger it easily makes for a great lunch destination if you are going to be near downtown.
